Q1 Where do flights to the Aran Islands Leave from?
Flights depart from Connemara Airport in Inverin, 19 miles West of Galway City on the R336.
Q2 Is there transport from Galway City to the Airport?
We operate a minibus service from Kinlay House on Merchants Road, the fare for the bus is €3 each way and must be booked when booking your flight. Please visit our schedule page for bus times.
Q3 How long is the drive from Galway City to the Airport?
It is advisable to allow for an hour drive from Galway city to the airport. From Galway City follow the Coast Road R336, through Bearna, Spiddal and then into Inverin.
Q4 What is the Check-In Time?
Please check-in half an hour before flight departure time. If you do not check-in for your flight without contacting us your return flight will automatically be cancelled.
Q5 Is there a car park at the airport?
Yes there is a car park free of charge.
Q6 I have booked my tickets on-line where do I collect them?
Your tickets can be collected at the airport on the day of travel, please bring your confirmation page with you on date of travel.
Q7 Do I have to pre-book tickets?
It is advisable to pre-book, the earlier you reserve the more flight options are available. Flights may be booked on the day depending on availability.
Q8 How long is the flight?
The flight time is less than 10 minutes from take off to landing.
Q9 What is the baggage allowance?
Passengers are allowed to carry 30lb of baggage per person. Please contact us in advance if you exceed this baggage limit.
Q10 Are you wheelchair accessible?
We can only carry non-spillable battery operated wheel chairs. Please contact us in advance if you require to carry a wheelchair.
Q11 How do I get around the islands?
There are a number of transport options including Mini-bus tour approx €10 per person, Bicycle hire , Pony and trap hire. It is not necessary to pre-book Tours.
Q12 Is there a tourist office on the island?
There is a tourist information office available on Inis Mor only.
